Without even trying, some people light up a room when they walk in. Their natural grace and relatable personalities effortlessly form connections and make people feel at ease. They genuinely care about others in a quiet yet tangible way. Kristin Rosendale is one of these people.
Over the past several months, Alma Wealth Management has been meeting, observing, and interviewing several persons to fill key roles within their firm. As a highly family-oriented company, Alma Wealth looks at hiring an employee as welcoming a new member to their family. The father-and-son team, Joe and Vincent Jiovenetta, were looking for someone who would care about their member families (which is how they refer to their clients) as much as they do.
That is why they are excited and honored to announce their new associate, Kristin Rosendale. Kristin is a native of Topeka, Kansas, who moved to Florida in 2002. She attended Florida International University and became a real estate agent in 2013. Like many others, she shared her time between Hollywood and the Keys before becoming a full-time resident and member of our community in 2018.
“I had fallen in love with the enchanted lifestyle of the Keys, and wanted my kids to be a part of this close-knit community,” Kristin says. “This community feels like home. It feels like family.”
As a single mom to twin 14-year-olds, Kristin’s priority is creating the best life and environment possible for her children. It is the same desire as all of Alma Wealth’s clients, who want to not only enjoy life to the fullest with their families but to also leave a legacy for their children and grandchildren.
“When I first met Kristin, I sensed something special about her,” Joe Jiovenetta says. “She is genuine and real.”
Joe says that being a supermom would be impressive enough, but when he mentioned Kristin’s name to someone, their eyes would light up. Their kind remarks and comments, along with her many qualifications and recommendations, convinced him that she was the right person for the job.
“Kristin is truly an outstanding individual,” Joe says. “We are so proud to have her as a member of our firm and, even more importantly, our extended family!”
The Jiovenetta family is big on its own, consisting of Joe, his wife Debra, and their three grown sons. Much of their family life revolved around wrestling, which all three boys competed in growing up. They would load into their RV and drive around the country to various competitions, which only strengthened their family bond even more.
Their youngest, Dante, is a bit of a local celebrity as a State Wrestling Champion for Coral Shores and a National Greco Roman Wrestling Champion. He is now the Coral Shores Wrestling Coach and owner of Islestyle Wrestling, which promotes and organizes amateur wrestling in the Florida Keys. The entire Jiovenetta family is involved with the organization, just like they support each other with everything else. Even their son, Giovanni, who is a firefighter in Broward County, comes down to help.
Vincent and Debra serve the community every Tuesday at First Baptist Islamorada and also regularly enjoy playing a gentler (yet, perhaps, no less competitive) sport, exchanging the wrestling mat for a pickleball court. This was another connection point with Kristin, as she can often be found on the tennis and pickleball circuit. She and her kids are active in sports and keep quite engaged with various activities.
Alma Wealth was looking for this kind of energy as they continue to expand their reach in the community. “We are increasing our activities and services to all new levels,” Vincent explains, “so we must have the right people in the right roles.”
Kristin’s role at Alma Wealth is organizing, communicating, and promoting various company-sponsored events. Several upcoming events include the Annual Alma Wealth Open Pickleball Championship, Coaching Financially Fearless Women, A Day at Gulf Stream, and the Jupiter Italian Food Festival, just to name a few. It’s easy to see how Kristin could passionately promote these events, as they benefit and appeal to people like her and beyond.
“I look forward to working with the incredible Alma Wealth team,” Kristin says, “and I’m very excited that I get to organize and promote all of these wonderful events. I feel very lucky to have this unique role where I get to connect with and help the community that welcomed my children and me with open arms.”
In addition to their company-sponsored events, Alma Wealth is involved in various community organizations and events, such as the Wesley House Pickleball Tournament, Conch Scramble, golf tournaments, auctions, and their continued commitment to youth wrestling. Dante and his Islestyle Wrestling team have big things on the horizon. Kristin will spearhead the involvement and promotion of all of these events in her new position.
Alma Wealth is also enjoying their new office located in Islamorada at 81681 Old Highway between Kaiyo and Chef Michael’s. It has a welcoming atmosphere to match the company’s vibe, including a nice, breezy porch. From time to time, they host special events, dinners, barbeques, or monthly “Porch Time” during Artwalk events. All are welcome to visit the new office and learn more about their life-changing services.
Between pickleball, wrestling, and all of these special events, you would think the Jiovenetta family wouldn’t have time for anything else. And, in part, you would be correct. Of course, the Jiovenettas spend normal family time together, but they consider all of these events and activities as family time, as well. After all, they come together and support each other as much as possible.
Furthermore, the Jiovenettas define ‘family’ a bit differently than most. Their neighbors, their clients (a.k.a. member families), and employees are all considered family. So, to them, a family barbecue only deserves the name if all are invited.
This close-knit company model is why Alma Wealth is so successful. It is why their member families have been able to dramatically improve their lifestyles and their legacies.
“Many financial planners make the mistake of focusing on spreadsheets and market fluctuations, but that’s not what wealth management is really about,” Joe explains. “It’s about family. It’s about creating the life our members want for themselves and their kids and grandkids. That means we need to know our member families beyond their bank statements and portfolios.”
Now that Kristin is one of their own, the Jiovenetta family is excited to introduce her and watch her grow in the community they love so dearly. You’ll soon see her at the company events and maybe even get a chance to face off with her on the pickleball court! Wherever or however you meet her, Joe and Vincent are confident you’ll see why she is the perfect fit for the Alma Wealth team.
Alma Wealth Management encourages you to keep an eye open for the many upcoming events. Whether you are already a member of the Alma Wealth family or want to join, feel free to reach out to Kristin Rosendale at (305)783-6381. She looks forward to telling you more about Alma Wealth Management and their upcoming activities and events.
