Florida Loves Manatees

This talk examines Florida and its relationship to its state marine mammal- the West Indian manatee. Looking at manatees throughout history, it tells the story of how this “sea cow” became a beloved symbol of the state itself. Attend in person or participate virtually! Seats are allocated until capacity is reached or until registration for in-person attendance closes on Tuesday, March 8 at 5 p.m. If capacity is reached you will be able to join a waitlist. Registration for virtual participants can be made up to one hour before the start of the lecture. Free for members.
